How does the magic link work exactly?
When a customer books, they receive a confirmation email containing a secure link. Valid for 7 days — view, reschedule, cancel, download receipt, no account needed. After 7 days: enter email on the My Bookings page, get a fresh 24-hour link instantly.
Do I need a Twilio account for SMS?
Yes — Twilio is a separate service you set up once. Create a free account at twilio.com, copy your Account SID, Auth Token, and a purchased number into Settings › SMS. The test button sends a real SMS immediately so you know it works before going live.
Do I need a separate SMTP plugin?
No. VedNex Schedules has built-in SMTP. Configure once in Settings › Email. It handles all confirmations, reminders, and review requests. No WP Mail SMTP, no third-party plugin required.
How does the drag-to-reschedule calendar work?
In the calendar view, drag any booking to a new slot. It fires instantly and shows a centre-screen toast with a 5-second undo button. The customer gets a reschedule confirmation automatically. No page reload, no modal, no friction.
Does it work with any WordPress theme?
Yes. Two shortcodes — [vednex_schedules] for the booking form and [vednex_customer_portal] for the customer dashboard. Embed on any page. Works with Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, Avada, Astra, any theme.
Can each team member have different hours?
Yes. Every team member has their own weekly schedule with individual hours. Block specific dates per person — holidays, training — without affecting the rest of the team.
What payment methods does it support?
Stripe, PayPal, and Pay Later (pay at appointment with custom instructions). Full payment or deposit-only. All payment paths land in the customer portal — no dead pages, no confusion.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Choose a plan and continue. If you don’t, the plugin stops processing new bookings — your data stays intact. No automatic charges. No credit card required to start the trial. If you cancel after subscribing, the plugin keeps working, you just stop receiving new updates.
